Your 7th Grade Bulldogs played a great game last night. Defense started on the field and Trenton Kivett picked off a pass and took it to the house (an unnecessary block in the back call that was questionable) put us on offense in the red zone and Imre Dispennett connected with Bo Lewis for our first Touchdown! Conversion failed. ZWMS scored on 1 big play their next drive and that’s the last time they’d see paydirt. We had a 7 play drive capped off by Allen Mickens plunging into the Endzone for 6 and 2 point conversion was scored by Mickens and we were off and running. Our defense went out there and gave us the ball back by Gabriel Patterson intercepting a pass with just over a minute to play in the first half. Mason Spector went lined up in Wildcat and took the ball down the field in 3 plays for a Touchdown! Conversion failed. We then put together an 11 play drive in the second half ending with Mason Spector scoring his second Touchdown of the night and Allen Mickens scoring another 2 point conversion. The Offensive Line: Parker Hammond, Ian Payne, Arthur Grant, Connor Payne and Jason Johnson, Stephen Akinrolabu (with Aaron Mosley and Trenton Kivett bringing in the muscle on occasions) put together longer drives than we have all season by controlling blocks and imposing their will on their opponents. The Defense was impressive after the first drive slip and pressured Zionsville West all night. Too many TFLs and Sacks to keep track of. Great Daniel Odole, Adonis Taylor, Karter Winston and Aaron Mosley were dominant up front and Trenton Kivett was a nightmare that ZWMS players will dream about all week. 28-6 was our final and we are looking forward to our season finale vs Center Grove North on Wednesday (9/30). Come out and cheer us on!!!
